Donations
Up until August 2010 we ran the Camelid TB Support Group with no outside funding other than a small number of private donations which were much appreciated. All the costs have been covered by Dianne Summers and Dr Gina Bromage. This website is funded by Mike Birch.
In September 2010 we were offered a very generous donation from Mr. Egbert Bohm, President of the “Alpaka Zucht Verband Deutschland”, which is the largest Alpaca Organization in Germany. Gina and Dianne met with bank advisors discussed various options and formed an organization named Camelid TB Support and Research Group. We have been set up to accept donations ever since. All donations and expenditure are accounted for. If you want to know how your donations are spent, click on the Support Group Tab for full details of what we do – what we hope to achieve and what we have achieved so far.
We cannot continue the work we do without funding. If the list of Aims and objectives is to be achieved, then it requires funding from a wider number of sources.
Any donations from £1 upwards will be appreciated and donations above £1000 will be listed as a sponsor as in the case of the Alpaka Zucht Verband Deutschland.
Sponsors can remain anonymous if they wish. Depending on the response we will eventually become a registered charity when we have fulfilled the conditions required.
If you wish to make a general donation, by this we mean you are donating to the work of the Camelid TB Support Group rather than a specific project, for example PCR, then there are two options.
Internet or telephone banking use the following:
Account Name: Camelid TB Support and Research
Account number: 51742906
Sort Code: 40-
Ref: Your name or Anon if you wish to remain anonymous.
To receive an official receipt for a direct bank payment please send a follow up email containing the details of your donation including your name address and your payment reference.
If you wish to pay by cheque please make cheque payable to:
Camelid TB Support and Research and post to:
Dianne Summers

To receive an official receipt for your donation by cheque please put your name and address on the back of your cheque.
If you wish to donate only to the ring fenced PCR project there are 3 options:
1. By internet or telephone banking. Follow the instructions above but you must put PCR in
the Ref box. This will ensure your donation is only used for the PCR project and nothing else.
2. By cheque made payable to Camelid Tb Support and Research Group and post to either Dianne Summers (details are above) or to our PCR Fund Raising Manager

Please note you must put PCR on the back of the cheque if you only want your donation to be spent on the PCR project.
To receive an official receipt for your donation you must either send us an email or include your name and address on the back of your cheque.
We are most grateful to Andy and Viv Walker of Reddingvale Alpacas who despite the fact they have not suffered from bTB themselves fully support and appreciate the work we do. They have many friends who have sadly lost their alpacas to Tb. They contacted us in Feb this year an offered to fund raise for the PCR project.
We thank all of those who have donated to us already – we cannot thank you all enough.
The camelid community owe you all a huge debt of gratitude.
